indeed, the latest season of Orville and the transhumanist ideals throughout are. … quite evident. A short time ago I ran-into the Transhumanist “subject” and so started reading a few books about it.
I read a few including John Lennox 2084, Religion and the Technological Future by Calvin Mercer, Transhumanism and Transcendence: Christian Hope in an Age of Technological by Cole-Turner, Transhumanism and the Image of God: Today's Technology and the Future by Shatzer, and various other papers/articles. A few names popped-up. One of interest is Yuval Noah Harari - Homo Deus, Sapiens, 21 Lessons for the 21 Century, etc. (he’s all throughout various media, including you tube).
Watched Season 3 of Orville. Was like wow!
I sat down and watched the Multiverse of Madness and have been following/reading your writings on that. Very interesting stuff!
Really enjoy your thoughts on your “tv series” blog on Mind Matters! Please, please consider doing a blog response to the series - The Orville, New Horizons (Season 3), particularly Episode 10 “New Horizons.”
Just wow! Talk about Transhumanism, mixing of human and AI, gender issues, Genesis 6 themes, etc.
