Yeah pretty much… The first half was just fine in my opinion, though yeah there is no rush for them obviously but I didn’t quite get the impression that there was, but my god the 2nd half… I was expecting Gordon to shoot them. I think at that point he completely lost the last bit of good memories he still had about the future society he could live in, at the start he says „it’s like watching a younger brother make mistakes in his early life“, well I bet at the end anyone would take those mistakes over living in a Authoritarian Galaxy! I certainly would and this Episode emboldened us after watching it. I mean who knows maybe that was the intention :p Reverse psychology.

But yes, apparently it’s wrong to think a bit more highly of your family’s fate than a possible bad future, unless of course it’s about certain other things as you‘ve mentioned… while I did enjoy 90% of the previous episode, (yes they literally did the Opposite 1 episode earlier and put not 4, but 1 individual over the certain destruction of the Union, in case anyone is wondering) I did think that the Ending was weird… was the child still pursuing a career in the fleet academy? I think not, according to them I think it was only as a way to find something to do that could keep their mind off of this mental state, but even if they still pursue that career, why are they allowed to sit in the captain’s chair, instead of just standing next to them or sitting on the father‘s lap etc.??? After being greeted warmly perhaps but kept short, since yes they are part of the ship but they don’t control it. (well not on paper but in this episode, the child did control the entire Union‘s Fate, *ehem* Captain a word please???) I mean they showed 1-2 examples of how you should behave if you want to join the Academy, and I think sitting in the Captain’s chair is out of the question… so, no matter what they choose, why let her sit there? … And then point the camera at the face for an uncomfortable 10 seconds or whatever? Why? At first I just thought it was weird and is reminiscent of how some other people put certain others on unnecessary pedestals for the smallest things and sometimes even undeserved things, and while I‘m happy with the outcome, there was no need to shoot the last scene the way they did, unless they want to give off a certain kind of impression of course… but with the next episode right after? My god that makes it even WORSE… yes, praise the little child (for some reason), but Gordon? Eh fuck Gordon that loser. Selfish prick. Go back into your cuck chair and shut up unless we need comedic relief. *ptui*

(That is the impression both these Endings gave me combined, how on earth do you write both these Episodes one after the other but don’t realize it? … Anyway great post thx 👍)
