I’d go as far as to say that, while not all of David Lynch’s adaptations worked, the film is, overall, better than the book
Dr. Yueh left Paul the plans for the Weirding module, along with still suits and the Dukal Signet ring .. The Fremen have manufacturing ability... They make the finest still suits on Arrakis..Also several other dessert survival gear items....
